I opted for the new Adams Idea Hybrids with graphite shafts and regular strength. Although I have often herd that hybrids are for more "mature" golfers I think that for most weekend warriors these forgiving new clubs are just the ticket to a weekend of fun on the golf course. The 3, 4, 5 and 6 hybrid irons are all much more forgiving, and longer I might add, than any other club that I have tried. Another characteristic that is espoused by Adams is that these clubs hit the ball much straighter than any other club. We will see! I am still a firm believer in the concept of the "golfer" hitting it straight versus "the club". Therein lies my problem. As is usually the case I need to dedicate more time to the links.

For a driver I chose the Taylormade "Burner". This 460cc driver is maddeningly light and shaped with heel weight technology. The problem with this driver is that it is very fun to hit with! When you relax a bit and swing normally the ball easily goes 200 yards and often much more. The tendency is to grip it and rip it but you can imagine the outcome of this swing choice for most of us weekend golfers. Click through the links offered to you on thegolfman to explore these clubs if you want to learn more.

Until next time, try and schedule more afternoon golf in your life!

GOT INFO? Why? I have been to other end of the world down in Patagonia, Argentina. Argentina is fast becoming one of the hottest golf destinations in the world. The combination of breathtaking landscapes, manicured golf courses, delicious asados, world famous fly fishing, sultry tango music, and fie red malbec red wines make Argentina a wonderful place to experience the southern hemisphere. Remember that our winter is there summer so it's a perfect winter vacation to a warmer climate.

Buenos Aires, by far the largest city in Argentina is home to many wonderful golf venues. But a two hour plane ride to the south will place you in the Patagonia region. Patagonia is synonymous with adventure, reminiscent of the Rocky Mountain west in the U.S. The difference is that Patagonia still has unclimbed mountains and far less people. Jack Nicklaus has designed a spectacular golf course named Chapelco at San martin de los Andes. The from this course range from the Andes Mountains to te Lanin Volcanoe country. About 2 hours south of San Martin de los Andes in the cosmopolitan city of Bariloche. Bariloche is a very European type city with one of the most beautiful courses I have ever seen. The European Llao Llao resort and gold course is a must see for all golf enthusiasts. The views of the majestic Andes Mountains and surrounding lakes are beyond compare. If you embark on an adventure golf trip to Patagonia, Argentina be sure and end your visit on the eastern coast at Trelew, the Welsh settlement that is located close to the largest nesting colony of Magellanic penguins in the world. It;s a perfect ending to for a trip to the far side of the world.

I found Ebiz247.com to be the best online service to book all of my travel needs. Probably millions of viewers across the globe watched the longest golf shot in history. There are times on the golf course when we all could use a little less gravity. Will these new clubs launch your game to the next level? Let's take a closer look at them.

Golfers everywhere should stand up and take notice of the first actual metal technology change in over a decade. E21 has introduced patented Scandium golf clubs. This material may just revolutionize golf again? Afterall, who is opposed to lighter, faster golf clubs that are a bit easier on your back and hit the golfball further and straighter? Not me, that's for sure!

Scandium, an advanced metal alloy originally developed by the Soviets for applications in space and aeronautics. It was even used in MIG fighter jets! Scandium is 55 percent lighter and 25 percent stronger than the titanium alloys used in many current golf clubs, company officials said, and the weight advantage increases to 75 percent when compared to stainless steel.

Accrding to the E21 companny, the e21 Scandium alloy shafts are manufactured using a proprietary 25 step production process to create seamless, extruded shaft. Variable wall thickness and the alloys tensile strength result in the vibration dampening system called ShokBlok with 270% better shock attenuation than steel shafts. This protects your body, bones and joints. What makes these shafts different from every other shaft? The answer: Close to absolute symmetry. This new design lends itself to producing more a more consistent golf swing for the average golfer.

Supposedly these clubs will be available in March to all of us! Check back on The Golf Man to compare prices. I might have to explore this stock option as this company is bound for success...

For other high tech news check out the new EBIZ247.com technology page today...

The Golf Man

Iron Will and Tadd

Wow! What nice surprise to what I anticipated as a relatively boring weekend of golf on TV. First was the fact that Iron Will Mackenzie was still in the hunt and that last weekends performance was not a fluke. Golf needs fresh faces and attitudes like Will Mackenzie. Given that Tiger was not in Hawaii, and who can blame him as everybody needs a break from work, the tournament was actually quite fun to watch. Add to that the performance of the young 16 year old Tadd Fujikawa and it was one of the more entertaining golf events. Personally, I think the folks at The Golf Channel did an outstanding job of hosting the Hawaii events. It will keep the major TV networks honest.

Ever wonder about where the official rules of golf come from? Check this Rules of Golf link out!
The game of golf is loaded with tradition. Do you ever wonder about a rule or why it came to be? The USGA in conjunction with the R & A in Scotland writes, interprets and maintains the Rules of Golf to guard the tradition and integrity o the game.
